Jeff Hnilicka’s FORESIGHT 2010
On Monday night, Jeff created a space of confident vulnerability, speaking openly about his recent failures and tenuous goals for 2010. Rather than programming his last few months away, he’s been reflecting on his work and focusing on New Years’ resolutions. Dancing alone to “everybody, everybody” and getting the group to shout the Digger’s motto “Work Together, Eat bread together” in silly unison, Jeff created an atmosphere of honesty and openness. Each person shared a personal resolution, aggregating the following goals for 2010: slowness, leaving time for failure, completion, being gradual, finding meaning, not losing a dialog about art after school, following the golden rule, making things every day, purging the closet, and having a positive mental attitude.
